It looks like the speculation is over and the romance is on!
After dodging rumors for months, Amanda Seyfried finally confirms she's Reese Witherspoon's ex Ryan Phillippe in the April issue of Elle magazine. Seyfried, 25, who stars in the upcoming Red Riding Hood, met Phillippe, 36, at a Halloween party thrown by Kate Hudson last year.
When asked about her romance with the dad of two, who recently dated actress Abbie Cornish, Seyfried admitted there was something going on. "Um, yeah. I've been 'seen' with him," she said coyly.
The pair's relationship had previously been in question, with reports of a rift and rumors that Phillippe was hitting on Rihanna.
But Seyfried may have reason to be gun shy. She thought her last boyfriend, actor Dominic Cooper who starred with her in Mamma Mia!, was breaking up with a girlfriend to be with her. But he ended up breaking her heart instead, she told the magazine.
"I was just kind of foolishly thinking that the two of them were done and Dom and I were involved," she said. "But we weren't really as involved as I thought. So I got my heart broken pretty hard. And then it took a long time for us to break up again. After that, it's really hard to open myself up to a new person. Really hard."
She also opened up about another ex, actor Alexander Skarsgard, who stars as the sexy blond vampire Eric Northman on HBO's True Blood. "We dated. He's super funny," she said. But the relationship didn't get very far. "I was too involved with Dom," Seyfried admits.
Right now she's seeing where the relationship with Phillippe takes her. But if that doesn't work out, she at least knows who else she likes to kiss! Seyfried named her Dear John costar, Channing Tatum, and her Red Riding Hood costar, Justin Timberlake, as people who "it didn't suck" making out with -- and said she wouldn't mind locking lips next time with Jonah Hex and Jane Eyre actor Michael Fassbender.
"Put me in a movie with that guy," she says. "I’m serious. Wow."
